SCRAP is searching for an energetic and outgoing individual to fill the role of Reuse/Education Specialist. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment and receiving, processing and managing high quality and safe creative reuse materials for retail and Online Stores. This special hybrid role will also be responsible for providing creative reuse education programs to our community. This role is responsible for scheduling on and offsite reuse art education programs, corresponding with educators and community members, and providing high quality, unique educational art programming to children and adults in the community.
SCRAP’s mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community. To fulfill our mission, SCRAP operates a donation-based creative reuse store and education programming.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is well-trained in all SCRAP departments including but not limited to: the reuse supply/retail store, the educational department, and recovery/donations duties. They will be primarily scheduled in the reuse supply/retail store and educational programming in any given week dependent upon the needs of the organization. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment and receiving, processing, and managing high quality and safe creative reuse materials for retail. This role will be a liaison and cultivate partnerships between SCRAP’s educational programming and their local community. Additionally, if needed this role will be able to provide fast paced sorting and organization and/or physical support to the donations department and will be expected to engage in frequent heavy lifting over the course of a shift. The Site Executive Director or designee will determine the scheduling needs for maximum efficiency.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall retail operations and the supply of creative reuse materials to the customer base, while providing excellent customer service in a welcoming environment. This position will serve as the point person for store staff and set priorities based on the needs of the store. The Reuse Coordinator will work closely with the Donations Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Site Director to ensure that all organizational needs are reached.
